Numbering range information

1 June 1992 - conversion to 8-digit national numbers

The previous area code/subscriber number format in Norway was replaced by national 8-digit numbers beginning 1 June 1992. Area codes were thus eliminated. Use of the national numbers was mandatory some time in 1993.
