Number Format

Area Code: 2-4 digits
Subscriber Number: 5-7 digits
Trunk Prefix: 8
International Prefix: 8 (wait) 10
Area Code plus Subscriber Number should generally total 9 digits.

Area code information

22 January 2011 - Lida numbering change

Lida numbers in +375 1561 xxxxx changed to +375 154 5xxxxx as of 22 January 2011 - that is, digit '5' is prepended to the existing subscriber number portion, while the area code portion is shortened from +375 1561 to +375 154. Domestically, the new range is dialled as 8 0154 5xxxxx. No permissive dual dialling period was indicated, and this appears to be a splash cut with calls to the old numbering being routed to a recorded message.

Other Information

Withdrew from country code 7 (former USSR territory); ITU assigned country code 375 in January 1995. Change to new country code took effect 16 April 1995. +7 0 was replaced by +375 in international dialling. A permissive calling period likely allowed use of both country codes until some unspecified time in 1997. See also general Numbering plan information from Beltelecom (18 January 2011).
