Numbering range information

15 March 2010 - national expansion from 7 to 8 digits

A flash-cut expansion of subscriber numbers occurred 15 March 2010 where the digit '2' or '7' was prepended to old 7-digit fixed/wireline numbers, while '6' or '9' prepended mobile numbers. All national subscriber numbers thus became 8 digits.

29 April 2007 - 7-digit geographic/fixed renumbering in Batha region

Digit '2' was prepended to existing 6-digit geographic/fixed Sotel subscriber numbers, from +676 50xxxx to +676 250xxxx, allocated to the Batha region.

30 April 2006 - 7-digit mobile renumbering

Mobile numbers were extended by one digit, with '6' prepended to Celtel numbers and '9' prepended to Millicom numbers:
