15 February 2005 - new Ikatel mobile numbers

New number ranges were activated for mobile carrier Ikatel: +223 90xxxxx through +223 94xxxxx ranges.

Ikatel fixed number ranges are in +223 4xxxxxx range.

January 2005 - numbering plan update

CRT details of the current state of Mali telephone numbering was posted (see CRT announcement, 5 January 2005, via ITU).

29 June 2002 - change to 7-digit national numbers

As of 29 June 2002, Mali changes to a 7-digit national numbering format from the existing 6-digit format.

The digit '2' will be prepended to most services except MALITAL GSM where the digit '6' will be prepended. The conversion by service is:
